Hi! I know I haven’t been round these parts in a month. I’ve been overly tired lately and quite frankly, nothing has been going on. But…

Last night we had two social engagements! Yes, you read that right, two! First we went to dinner with a potential new hire for the university and then went to a party that a friend was throwing. Both pleasurable, both nice.

And today we are huddled inside. Wearing hats and mittens, with the heat at 66 and still slightly cold. The wind is howling, there is actual ice formations on the windows, and the Packer’s were not on local TV.

Two weekends ago we traveled to a local apple orchard for a picnic and short hike.  The orchard dog walked with us for part of the way as we meandered between rows of Gala, Jonathan, Winesaps and more.

I managed to lose my ID and bus pass ON the bus. I had it when I got on, but didn’t when I got off.  They did find it at the end of the day, but the bus office is no where near my work, and they are only open 8-4:30.  Oh, and the bus doesn’t actually GO to the BUS OFFICE.  FCOL.  So, I’m not sure when I’ll get it back.

AND I somehow managed to buy not swiss cheese, but the truely heinious white American cheese.  I discovered this as I made my lunch this morning.  And I use that last classification liberally.  Because it sure as hell didn’t taste like cheese.  GAG.

Yesterday we went to our school’s football game.  It was a good – the fans are quite nice, and the stadium isn’t bad, either.  Oh, except for the packing ‘em in like sardines part.   Having personal space on a bleacher seat isn’t really in the plan to sell the most tickets possible.

We forgot to wear sunscreen and actually got the worse sunburn of the year.  My face hurts just sitting here.  And I have the ever popular sunglass line shadowed on the side of my face.  That’s a reminder that you can get sunburned in October!
